Families in Alicante who have or adopt a child during 2026 can request a one-off €300 council grant. Multiple births or adoptions receive €300 per child, with a separate application for each.

The council has provisionally approved €149,100 for 497 eligible 2025 claims that remained unpaid. The balance of the €200,000 budget goes to 2026 applications in filing order, with qualifying unfunded claims given priority in 2027.

Four years on the register and the child at the same address

The applicant needs at least four continuous years on Alicante’s population register immediately before applying. The child must be registered in the city for the first time at the applicant’s address.

Applicants must be current with national tax, Social Security and council liabilities and hold a bank account. Married couples, registered partners and single-parent families qualify.

The clock starts the day after birth or adoption

The general deadline is three months. Filing is available online with digital identification or in person by appointment at citizen-service and Social Welfare registry offices.

Evidence includes current identification, the birth certificate or adoption ruling and tax clearance. Extra register and payment certificates are needed if data checks are refused. Funding availability and the 2027 call will determine the next update.
