The photograph shows the interior of Benlloc parish church, dedicated to Saints Abdon and Sennen. The altar, central statue, arches into the side chapels and lit vault over the sanctuary are visible. This is not the Church of the Assumption or an exterior view of the bell tower.
The sanctuary retains a Gothic solution
The church has one nave with side chapels, a polygonal apse and sacristies on both sides. The provincial source highlights the sanctuary’s star vault, visible at the top of the image, while placing a Renaissance doorway, bell tower and defensive elements outside the photographed view.
La Sargantana belongs to the bell tower
One bell is called La Sargantana, and institutional information considers it among the oldest in the Valencian Community. This adds context to the building but does not allow a particular bell to be identified from the nave or imply that visitors may freely climb the tower.
L’Adjutori requires leaving the village centre
Mare de Déu de l’Adjutori hermitage stands in an outlying area, about two kilometres away according to Castellón Tourism. The present building incorporates the earlier 1445 chapel and an 1850 extension, with trees and a recreation area around it. It is separate from the photographed parish interior.
This documentary edit corrects the dedication and separates interior, bell tower and hermitage. It does not verify worship, statues, lighting, bells, stairs, opening, celebrations, recreation area, road, parking or accessibility on site.
