The photograph shows Ca la Vila, the Modernist building housing Les Alqueries town hall, facing a palm-lined square. Its white-and-blue facade and civic setting are visible; the image does not show the parish church or a traditional agricultural farmhouse.
The town contains several early twentieth-century buildings
The Parish Church of Our Lady of the Lost Child is an early twentieth-century Historicist and Neo-Gothic building. La Palmera, a former school from the 1930s, adds another function and architectural language to the walk. Ca la Vila, church and school are separate buildings, although the low-rise centre allows them to be visited on foot.
Torre de la Regenta belongs to the farming landscape
The fortified Torre de la Regenta farmhouse stands among orange groves. Its defensive tower predates the agricultural residential complex into which it was incorporated following seventeenth-century alterations. It should not be confused with Ca la Vila or treated as an immediate extension of the square: location and possible access need checking separately.
The fields explain the municipality’s dispersed origins
Les Alqueries developed from a group of farmsteads and agricultural houses formerly dependent on Vila-real. Paths among citrus groves retain that reading of the plain, but remain part of a working landscape. The route towards Muntanyeta de Sant Antoni leaves the municipality for Betxí and should not be described as an urban or wholly local circuit.
This documentary review identifies Ca la Vila and separates civic, religious and agricultural heritage. It does not verify building opening, tower access, path ownership, farm treatments, signs, accessibility, traffic or route conditions towards Betxí on site.
