The photograph shows Pina de Montalgrao town hall. Its façade, balconies, flags and access from the square can be seen. Neither Sierra de Pina nor El Salvador Church appears.

El Salvador incorporates material from the former castle

The parish church, dedicated to El Salvador or San Salvador, stands near the castle hill. Its walled and crenellated enclosure combines small ashlar and rubble masonry; the provincial record says some material came from the fortification, of which few visible remains survive.

The castle occupies a hill with fragmentary remains

The council project describes an almost rectangular enclosure of Islamic origin on a small steep-sided summit. Wall fragments retaining the ground survive and have undergone consolidation. It should not be imagined as a complete fortress or confused with the town hall.

Springs and caves structure a mountain visit

Tourist information proposes routes to Fuentevieja, Ballestero and Marrionda springs and caves including Cerdaña, Corderina, Ahumada and Murciélaga. These are mountain itineraries: route, weather, works, water and cave access must be checked before setting out.

This documentary edit corrects the photograph and separates town hall, church, castle and mountains. It does not verify offices, worship, enclosure, ruins, stability, springs, water, caves, paths, hours, parking or accessibility on site.
