The photograph shows a section of Segorbe’s medieval wall below buildings at the edge of the old town; it does not show the Cathedral or its museum. The fortification is embedded in the urban fabric, explaining why towers, aqueduct, gateways and streets should be read as connected parts of the former city.
The wall leads towards the aqueduct and gateways
From Plaza Agua Limpia, the municipal route passes the medieval towers and Archaeology and Ethnology Museum before reaching the aqueduct. Arcos del Argén belonged to the water-entry system, while Portal de la Verónica was an entrance through the walled town. Torre de la Cárcel and Torre del Verdugo retain different forms and functions.
The Cathedral is a separate interior visit
The Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption was built against the wall and combines a Gothic origin with later alterations. Its cloister, crypts and Cathedral Museum should not be confused with an exterior view or assumed to be open simply because the building can be reached. Current times, tickets and accessibility need checking.
The Fifty Spouts stand beside the Palancia
The fountain is on the river’s right bank and places the coats of arms of Spain’s provinces above its fifty spouts. The municipal leaflet proposes a roughly three-kilometre circuit from Tourist Info along the river and back to the historic centre, plus a longer variant climbing Pico Nabo. These differ from the short urban route around Sopeña and the castle.
The Bull and Horse Entry is a festival with its own dates and conditions, not a monument available every day; an interpretation centre can explain it outside the event. This documentary review does not verify works, water flow, surfaces, museum opening or the festival on site.
