How to use the data
The row count is not necessarily a count of unique people because one person may appear in more than one period or category. Comparisons need the same year and criteria.
Before comparing places or dates, check that the field, unit and period are equivalent. Where a column is an administrative identifier, it is used only to locate the record.
Limitations
Elite-athlete status is tied to a resolution and period. Use the current official resolution for any procedure.
