New families can join the Valencian textbook bank until 10 November

The form is not sent to a central online office: families sign it and submit it to the school where the pupil is enrolled.

Families wishing to join the Valencian textbook bank for the first time in 2026-27 can still apply up to and including 10 November. Completing a form online is not the final step: it must be downloaded, signed and handed to the school where the pupil is enrolled.

The scheme covers primary, special and compulsory secondary education, basic vocational courses and sixth-form studies at participating Generalitat, state-funded private and municipal schools. The pupil’s legal guardian files the request.

Existing participants do not start again

Pupils who belonged to the programme in 2025-26 retain their status and do not submit a new enrolment unless they previously withdrew. Individual applications are also unnecessary for pupils at designated special-status schools and dedicated special-education centres, where participation is processed automatically.

The current window is therefore aimed at eligible newcomers. Before submitting paperwork, families can ask the school office to confirm that the centre participates and that the pupil is not already listed.

The previous book set affects eligibility

New participants must have returned the complete set of textbooks and curricular material used in 2025-26. Pupils entering the first year of primary school are exempt. Those who attended the first or second year may also be exempt where the school decides that their material was not reusable.

Participation means looking after borrowed books and returning them after the school year. Missing items must be replaced to retain entitlement. A move between schools should be reported because books are returned to the former school while continuity is managed by the receiving school.

The official deadline is 11:59 pm on 10 November 2026, but the signed form is handed in at the school and its office hours apply. Waiting until the final evening may therefore be too late despite the timestamp shown on the procedure page.
