Hearing better or moving safely at home can involve substantial cost. València offers individual benefits for people over 60 with motor or sensory impairments, covering hearing aids, suitable home equipment and adaptations, or vehicle adaptations.
Age alone is insufficient. The impairment must hinder normal mobility or communication, and the requested item must respond directly to that limitation.
General renovations are excluded
This is not a home-renovation or improvement scheme. Work unrelated to the impairment is excluded. Architectural-barrier grants for older people are handled by the regional government.
The same need cannot be overfunded by combining this benefit with other public support or personal resources.
Each item requires different evidence
Hearing aids require a supplier quotation with payment-account details and an audiometry. Vehicle adaptations need a quotation. Home adaptations require an owner or landlord declaration and the municipal home-repair referral form.
The local social-services centre opens the case
Applications are open year-round by appointment with the Municipal Social Services Centre for the applicant’s address. The procedure states a three-month decision period and positive administrative silence.
Need, suitability and lack of alternative cover are decisive. Changes to age, covered items or evidence would require an update.
