Applying for vocational college after 8 October in Valencia: who handles the request?

Late applications for vocational education in the Valencian Community require entry qualifications and a favourable assessment. Steps for 2026-2027.

Missing out on a vocational college place by the end of September does not always mean waiting another year. In the Valencian Community, the 2026-2027 admissions calendar set 8 October as the deadline for the vacancy allocation procedure for basic, intermediate and higher vocational programmes. After that date, applicants can submit a request to the territorial education directorate, subject to assessment.

This distinction matters when reading an old vacancy notice: a college’s September announcement does not establish that places remain available or allow automatic enrolment in late October.

What changed after the allocation rounds

For intermediate and higher programmes, final admissions lists were published on 20 July and online enrolment ran from 20 to 27 July. Two vacancy allocation rounds followed, on 3–11 and 17–23 September. A later first-come, first-served stage followed the publication of vacancies on 28 September and ended on 8 October. These dates have passed; they appear in Annex II of the 2026-2027 resolution.

For a request to join now, Article 6 of Order 10/2024 applies. Applicants must meet the entry requirements, acknowledge that they have been informed about continuous assessment, and receive a favourable report from the sectoral schooling commission. The commission also checks whether their circumstances allow them to benefit from the course.

How to take the request forward

  1. Identify the programme and college. Ask its administrative office about the current position and the possibility of joining. Ask how teaching already completed would affect continuous assessment.
  2. Check your entry route. Locate the qualification or certificate that supports it. Joining late does not waive the programme’s academic entry requirements.
  3. Address your application to the territorial education directorate for the college’s province. This is the recipient specified in the order: Valencia, Alicante or Castellón, as applicable, even if you live in another province. Confirm the appropriate submission channel and documents with that directorate before applying.
  4. Wait for the assessment and enrolment instructions. An enquiry to the college or a submitted request is not an offer of admission. Keep proof of submission.

An old waiting list does not reserve a place

During the ordinary procedure, joining a waiting list and enrolling were separate steps: successful applicants had to complete enrolment by their deadline. The order provides for losing an allocated place if enrolment is not completed on time. Anyone still consulting a September list should check their current position rather than assume an earlier invitation remains valid.

Before arranging travel or changing your schedule, obtain confirmation of admission and instructions for completing enrolment. This guide covers the route after the admissions calendar for basic, intermediate and higher vocational programmes; it does not announce specific vacancies or a general reopening of AdmiNOVA.
