València resident parking permits last two years and do not cover every district

Only residents of Ciutat Vella, Russafa, Botànic, Roqueta and Petxina whose vehicles meet the conditions may apply.

Registration as a València resident does not by itself qualify someone for a parking permit. Green- and orange-zone permits currently cover Ciutat Vella, Russafa, Botànic, Roqueta and Petxina, and the vehicle’s tax address must also be València.

The registered keeper may apply, as may certain habitual drivers and people with exclusive personal use of a company, rental or leased vehicle. Holders of a type-A public resident car-park space are excluded.

Validity covers the application year and the next

The permit lasts for two calendar years: the year of application and the following year, ending on 31 December. Applying late does not extend the final date. Renewal uses a separate council procedure.

Applicants must be up to date with municipal taxes, charges and traffic penalties. They may authorise the operator to check this and retrieve permit, insurance and roadworthiness data.

Company vehicles require extra evidence

A company-owned vehicle needs evidence of the employment relationship and a letter confirming exclusive personal use. Rental and leasing cases require the relevant contract.

Applications are available online and through municipal registries. Update if districts, validity or green- and orange-zone conditions change.
