València’s municipal home telecare is free and operates 24 hours a day throughout the year. A portable button opens voice contact with a centre that assesses the incident and calls relatives, emergency services or other support where necessary.
It is available to people aged 65 or over who live alone or with others in a similar situation. Younger people may qualify with a recognised disability or permanent incapacity pension. Users need enough autonomy to operate the system.
The home and income are assessed
Applicants must be registered in València and the home needs a telephone line and electricity. Basic housing, food and hygiene needs must be covered, and no condition may prevent effective device use.
Annual gross household income cannot exceed €20,845 for one person or €24,319 where two or more live together. This municipal route should not be confused with telecare awarded through dependency care.
Social Services handles the request
Applications go to a municipal social-services centre or the electronic office with the home-services form, identification and health card. Without consent for data checks, economic and family evidence must be supplied.
Update if income thresholds, phone technology or eligibility profiles change.
