Boarding Vila-real’s urban bus requires neither a fare nor proof of residence. Groguet is free for every passenger, whether or not they live in the city, and no municipal card is required.
The network uses two lines and four variants. Routes link outer areas such as Madrigal and Termet with central locations and Hospital Universitario de la Plana. Free travel is embedded in the municipal urban-transport contract.
The live map is safer than an old timetable
Vila-real’s mobility page links to an application showing routes and other urban information. It is the practical reference before travel because seasonal workings, altered departures or notices may not appear on an older saved leaflet.
The summer adaptation of line 2, for example, can strengthen service around Calle Ermita and the Ermitorio. Such changes do not end free travel but may alter the right stop or frequency.
Free does not mean every nearby service is free
Groguet is the municipal urban network within Vila-real. Commuter rail, interurban buses and special services to other towns or campuses have separate operators and conditions. The C-6 rail line serves Vila-real station but is outside the free urban-bus scheme.
Update if routes, variants, free access or the tracking application changes.
