Switching on the bedroom light does not always illuminate the back of a wardrobe. If you reach for your phone torch to distinguish clothes, a sensor-operated auxiliary light may be worth comparing.
Wardrobe lights with automatic sensors are available, but check exactly what the chosen model detects, when it switches on and how long it stays active. Different models do not necessarily respond alike in ambient light.
Placement changes the result
Think about where the light will fall once the wardrobe is full. A bar hidden behind clothes or a sensor blocked by a box can defeat the original plan. Measure the available space and check how the unit attaches.
For adhesive mounting, check surface compatibility and removal instructions. For magnetic mounting, establish which component needs fixing to the furniture. Batteries or charging ports should remain easy to reach.
Compare the intended use
Check the power supply, operating modes and light colour. Briefly looking inside a wardrobe may call for a different solution from lighting a work area for hours.
Start with a simple trial: shine your phone light from the intended mounting position. It will not reproduce the lamp’s actual output, but it can reveal obstacles before you buy or attach anything.
