A total of 176 young people who applied for Alicante’s municipal rent subsidy have until 10 September to correct their files. The city council has published an individual list stating which document is missing or which detail needs clarification in each case. Additional material can only be filed online through the Youth Department’s dedicated procedure and requires electronic identification.
Applicants should not submit a new application. Anyone marked as needing a correction must locate their registration entry in the official notice and address the precise observation attached to it. Recurring issues across the 35-page document include missing 2025 income-tax records for household members over 16, unsigned contracts, rent receipts without clear payer, recipient or payment details, and discrepancies between the applicant and the person paying the rent.
The notice was published on 27 August and the municipal procedure sets the online window from 28 August to 10 September. Although the notice remains displayed on the electronic board until 11 September, the operational deadline shown on the filing page is the 10th. Applicants should use that date and not wait for the public-display period to end.
Correcting a file does not yet secure funding
The scheme received 500 applications, 300% more than the previous call according to the council. Eighty-one are currently admitted, 176 require corrections and 243 are excluded. The budget is €248,000, with individual support of up to €400 a month and €4,800 a year.
Providing the requested evidence on time prevents an application from being dropped for missing documentation, but does not guarantee an award. Once the correction period closes, the Youth Department will rebuild the list, apply the criteria in the rules and issue a proposal within the available budget. It will also assess receipts already submitted for January to June and projected costs through 31 December.
The 243 exclusions concern failures that the list identifies separately. Reasons include room rentals, homes outside Alicante municipality, contracts lasting less than a year, applicants outside the age range, income above the threshold or monthly rents exceeding the cap. Exclusion and a request for correction are different statuses, so applicants should first check the exact wording beside their registration number.
The procedure linked by the council redirects users to Spain’s Cl@ve identification system. The next decisive reference will be the revised list published by the Youth Department after 10 September. Until then, there is no final award decision or payment order.
