Historic centre of Ademuz

The historic centre occupies the slope below the remains of the former castle. The gradient is part of the visit, so a practical approach is to begin in the upper streets and descend towards the river.

River Bohílgues and riverside walk

The Bohílgues rises in Vallanca and joins the Turia at Ademuz. Its course includes a protected flora micro-reserve and adds a natural section to the town visit; check trail conditions after rain or when the ground is wet.

Hermitage of Our Lady of the Orchard

Provincial tourism sources describe the Hermitage of Our Lady of the Orchard as Romanesque in origin and dating from the thirteenth century. It is one of Ademuz’s principal heritage buildings, but viewing the exterior does not guarantee that the interior is open.

Viewpoints across Rincón de Ademuz

The upper areas explain Ademuz’s position between the Turia and Bohílgues valleys. Access can involve steep or uneven ground, particularly when the walk includes the surroundings of the castle.
