Divide supply price by its stated yield and add separately replaced items. Calculate black and colour independently. A standardised yield aids comparison but will not predict your exact spend because coverage, cleaning, quality and document mix differ. Build a two-year ownership estimate
Add purchase price, supplies for your own volume, paper, predictable maintenance items and any subscription. Use low and high scenarios. A cheaper cartridge machine may cost more after several replacement sets; a tank model may never recover its premium at very low volume.
