The photograph shows the façade of Sant Jordi town hall in Plaça Major. Its balconies, flags, institutional lettering and stone doorway are visible. This is not a panorama of the historic centre and it does not show the parish church.

Plaça Major separates buildings and periods

The provincial route places the former 14th-century church and other civic buildings in this square. The photographed town hall is one specific element of the urban space; its image should not be used as an interchangeable representation of all local heritage.

Sant Jaume was built between 1736 and 1759

The monument record dates the start of the parish church to 1736 and completion of the church and bell tower to 1759. It describes three naves, a crossing, dome, Communion chapel and ashlar bell tower. Interior access and the condition of the historic organ should be checked before visiting.

Pous de Muntells retains washbasins beneath its arches

Castellón’s tourism authority presents Pous de Muntells as an 18th-century hermitage, restored and adapted as a rest area, with old stone washing basins beneath its arches. The route also includes Fossar Vell and the Calvary, separate from the square and town-hall façade.

This documentary edit identifies the visible town hall and distinguishes the square, parish church, Pous de Muntells, Fossar Vell and Calvary. It does not verify offices, churches, worship, organ, washbasins, water, restoration, hours, parking or accessibility on site.
