How to use the data
The area count helps locate industrial concentrations, but it does not measure land area, occupancy or economic activity. Coordinates locate each feature and must never be added together.
Before comparing places or dates, check that the field, unit and period are equivalent. Where a column is an administrative identifier, it is used only to locate the record.
Limitations
Coverage depends on the directory update. A registered area may since have changed its name, boundary or services.
