If you are on Spain’s regulated electricity tariff (PVPC), every hour has a different price, and choosing when to run the washing machine, the dishwasher or charge your car shows on your bill. Here is today’s and tomorrow’s price hour by hour, plus a free app to check it on your phone at any time.
Electricity price today and tomorrow, hour by hour
Official Red Eléctrica data, updated hourly. Tomorrow’s price appears around 20:30.
The app to keep it on your phone
Precio PVPC Eléctrico España is 1938web’s free Android app. Open it and you instantly see what electricity costs each hour of the day, with no sign-up. It includes:
- The price of every hour today, colour-coded so you can spot cheap and expensive hours.
- Two charts, line and bar, showing how the price changes during the day.
- A tomorrow’s prices tab and the price of any day in recent years.

Peak, standard and off-peak hours on the 2.0TD tariff
Besides the energy price, the PVPC tariff (2.0TD) has three network-charge bands that make some hours generally cheaper:
- Off-peak (cheapest): 00:00–08:00 Monday to Friday, and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays.
- Standard: 08:00–10:00, 14:00–18:00 and 22:00–24:00 Monday to Friday.
- Peak (most expensive): 10:00–14:00 and 18:00–22:00 Monday to Friday.
Even so, the real price changes daily with the market: on sunny days the middle of the day can be very cheap even in peak hours. That is why it pays to check the day’s chart.
How to save with hourly prices
- Schedule big loads (washing machine, dishwasher, dryer, water heater or electric car) in the cheapest hours on the chart.
- Check tomorrow’s price in the evening to plan the next day.
- Avoid the priciest hours for the oven or iron if you can move them.
- Remember your bill also includes contracted capacity, taxes and meter rental.
