On Friday, October 2, the Castellón Fair and Markets Complex transforms into a space of music, games and solidarity with the opening of Capla Kids, a free day for families. From 5:00 PM, the little ones will enjoy live music, attractions and activities specially designed for them, marking the beginning of a weekend that promises to fill the city with life and sound. The next day, Saturday, October 3, the complex becomes the epicenter of the Capla Festival, with twelve uninterrupted hours of music on two stages, and artists such as Loquillo, Miss Caffeina, OBK and Los Romeos. The event has already managed to sell tickets in 104 towns in 21 provinces and 11 autonomous communities, with 25% of the purchases coming from outside the province, which shows its growing appeal beyond local boundaries. The mayor, Begoña Carrasco, has highlighted that the festival not only attracts people, but also boosts the local economy: the event works with 42 supplier companies, most of them from Castellón and the province, generating employment and consumption in hospitality, trade and accommodation. In addition, the festival maintains a strong solidarity aspect, with ten associations – such as Daño Cerebral Ateneu Castelló, ASPROPACE or AFANIAS Castellón – that will have their own spaces to develop activities and raise funds. The proceeds will be entirely donated to these entities, demonstrating that culture, leisure and social commitment can go hand in hand. The promotion campaign has reached more than 11 million advertising impressions and more than one and a half million people on social networks, figures that, according to Carrasco, reflect that every time the festival is promoted, Castellón is also being promoted. The City Council is betting on a cultural and musical program throughout the year, beyond the summer season, to keep the city active and attractive. The Capla Festival, which in its first edition brought together nearly 9,000 attendees, consolidates itself as one of the city’s major music events, with growth that reflects an increasingly solid external projection.
