The photograph is an elevated panorama of Llíber. Santos Cosme y Damián Church stands near the centre, surrounded by roofs, streets, gardens and plots. Several long arcades associated with riuraus can be seen around the edge of the settlement, with mountains enclosing the valley.

The foothill position explains the village’s form

The built-up area occupies the foot of the mountain and opens towards the Pla de Llíber. The council dates the parish church to the nineteenth century, and it provides a landmark within the roofscape. The Calvario ascent gives another view across the plain and southern ranges, distinct from this aerial image.

The riuraus occupy two different areas

The municipal guide distinguishes those on the slope where Llíber stands from a second group in Els Cairons. Their position helped protect raisins from dew on the plain. The arcades sheltered drying trays during grape processing, but not every building is public or open inside.

The Pla and Font d’Aixa are different landscapes

The Pla retains vineyards and fields associated with Vall de Pop agriculture. Font d’Aixa, by contrast, is a narrow valley receiving water from the Castell d’Aixa range and containing an old reservoir. The farmsteads of Marnes and El Cau are further sites in the municipality rather than extensions of the village walk.

This documentary edit relates the image to visible evidence and separates settlement, raisin architecture and outer routes. It does not verify riurau use, ownership, interior access, crops, water, worship, paths, surfaces, shade, signs or accessibility on site.
