The ordinary 2026-27 Valencian school meal grant window closed on 31 July, but the process continues. Schools post provisional and final lists on their noticeboards and send Web Familia alerts. Publication counts as notification, so waiting for an individual letter may cost valuable time.

Ten working days to correct errors

Missing household members, incorrect income or an unassessed social circumstance should be challenged at the school within ten working days of the provisional list, with supporting evidence. Telling a teacher verbally does not replace the formal correction.

Applications during the year

Pupils joining the education system because of changed circumstances have ten working days from enrolment. Exceptional routes also exist for foster care, children of domestic-abuse victims needing special protection and defined exclusion situations, subject to an official report and available funding.

What it covers

Daily maxima are €4.35 for infant, primary and secondary education, €5.54 for special education and €12.35 for residential school provision. Direct beneficiaries receive the maximum; other awards depend on per-person income and social factors within the budget.

The grant funds actual meal attendance rather than unrestricted cash. A school transfer or late start can affect covered days. A final refusal may be challenged administratively within one month or in court within two, although families should first check whether the issue could have been corrected at school.
