The heating social bonus is not claimed through an ordinary grant application. For the Valencian 2025 scheme, beneficiaries are customers who held the electricity social tariff on 31 December 2024. IVACE identifies the list, notifies the amount and makes a single payment unless the recipient declines it.
How the amount is set
Payment varies with vulnerability status and the climate zone of the registered home. It is not calculated from individual gas, wood or heating invoices and does not require proof of each expense. It supports thermal uses including heating, hot water and cooking.
IVACE provides a tool to check inclusion. Notification goes to the home address and payment uses the bank account linked to the electricity bill. A changed address or closed account can therefore interrupt communication or payment.
Checks when payment is missing
First confirm that the electricity social tariff was active on the exact reference date, rather than merely applied for earlier or granted later. Then check the address and bank account. The 2025 lookup confirms inclusion but cannot add a household omitted from the supplier data.
The heating and electricity schemes are separate. Keeping the electricity discount requires continuing to meet its conditions. Future rounds will use a different reference date and may set different amounts, so this article should be updated when IVACE publishes the next decision.
