How to renew a LABORA DARDE and what to do after missing the date

Renewal keeps jobseeker registration active; a technical failure does not remove the duty to renew on the stated date.

The DARDE is not an unemployment payment. It proves registration as a jobseeker and states the next renewal date. Keeping it active matters for vacancies, courses and some benefits, although Spain’s SEPE rather than LABORA pays unemployment benefits.

Renew on the stated date

Renew through Punt LABORA or the app using a DNI or NIE and personal PIN. Download the new DARDE afterwards and confirm that it contains a future date. A screenshot from before completion is not proof of renewal.

A forgotten code can be replaced by SMS when the registered phone number is current. Punt LABORA also provides registration, period and status certificates.

If the service fails or the date passes

LABORA states that technical or connection problems do not remove the renewal obligation. Keep evidence of an error and visit an Espai LABORA as soon as possible. Once the date has passed, printing the old document is insufficient: request reactivation and check the consequences.

A lapse may affect support or benefits. Anyone receiving unemployment benefit should ask SEPE about a possible sanction; LABORA manages jobseeker registration, not the state payment.
