An electricity or water debt, loss of housing or urgent health expense can overwhelm a household. València addresses such cases through individual social benefits, subject to a professional municipal assessment.

Individuals and families facing serious need that they cannot meet themselves may apply. Annual income per household member must not exceed 100% of the current IPREM calculated over twelve payments. Applicants must also be registered and actually resident in València.

Support is tailored to evidenced need

The procedure covers electricity, water and gas debts, temporary accommodation, eviction-related needs and specified health costs. Travel to healthcare, training or employment-support activities and exceptional journeys may also be considered.

Listing a cost does not guarantee payment. The professional checks urgency, income, alternative support and whether existing resources have been exhausted. A social report may connect the benefit to a wider intervention plan.

Start with the local social-services centre

Applicants book the Municipal Social Services Centre assigned to their home. Telephone 010 and the free 900 92 75 67 line identify the correct office. Filing is also available through a registry office or online.

Evidence varies by need and may include identity and financial records, bills, disconnection notices, tenancy papers, medical reports or approved quotations. In an immediate crisis, contacting the centre early helps establish the correct route and essential documents.
