The EMT ambTU pass costs €10 for 2026 and provides up to 60 trips per calendar month. On reaching the limit, the card deactivates until the next month. Each validation permits unlimited transfers for one hour across the municipal network.
The standard applicant is aged 16 to 65, legally resident in Spain, registered in València for at least six months and below the current IPREM income threshold. For families, the ceiling rises by 0.5 IPREM for a spouse and 0.3 for each child under 16.
Some cases do not depend on income
Women who prove gender violence and their minor children can qualify regardless of work, income, administrative status or registration period. Special rules also cover 14-to-16-year-olds with a beneficiary parent and people registered in the southern districts.
Applications are made by appointment at a municipal district office with the form, current identification and a tax-income certificate or proof that no return was required. The card is issued after eligibility is checked.
Initial activation adds €3
Alongside the €10 annual pass, a new card has a one-off €3 activation charge. A replacement costs €5 and is handled at EMT’s office at Calle Mendoza 5.
The pass is personal and non-transferable. Update when the council approves the 2027 price and conditions.
