A family or group registering at the same Alicante address does not need one appointment per person. The council says a single booking covers everyone in the household, provided each person attends or is properly represented and all individual documents are supplied. Registration and address changes are free.
In-person applications require an appointment at the Labradores, Séneca or Gastón Castelló citizen offices or an enabled district office. Online filing is also available but requires a digital certificate, electronic national ID or another accepted login.
Housing evidence depends on the applicant’s position
Owners prove title to the property. Tenants provide a current lease and the other evidence listed by the council. Anyone not named as owner or tenant needs authorisation and identification from the person granting it. Originals must be valid, and foreign official documents need a sworn Spanish translation where applicable.
Cases involving children, separation or shared custody may require a family book or birth certificate, a court decision and consent from the other parent.
Registration and certification are separate
Registration changes the municipal record; a certificate merely proves information already held. Standard certificates are available through the electronic office and municipal self-service kiosks. Pre-1996 historical records, representatives and certain household certificates require a specific route.
This information should be updated if offices, electronic identification or rules for children and representation change.
