Anyone seeking publicly promoted housing or a home in the regional government’s stock must join the Valencia region’s housing applicant register. Applications are open throughout the year and registration is immediate through a declaration of responsibility, but it does not automatically provide a home or guarantee an allocation.
The register organises demand and allows households to enter procedures matching their size, income and housing needs. The Valencian Housing and Land Entity expressly warns that being listed does not guarantee access to a property.
Who can register and the income ceiling
The household representative must be an adult or emancipated minor and reside in the Valencia region. A household may be one person or several people intending to live together. A person generally cannot belong to two households, except for children under shared custody.
Applicants must have a housing need, while household income cannot exceed 6.5 times the monthly IPREM calculated over twelve payments, subject to the adjustments and exceptions in the rules. The declaration allows registration without submitting every document at the outset, although the authority may later verify the information.
Two-year validity and one month to report changes
Registration lasts two years and must be renewed before it expires to avoid removal. Relevant changes — address, income, household members or housing circumstances — must also be reported within one month.
The application is available online using an ACCV certificate or Cl@ve. Help is also available through Xaloc offices, participating councils and EVha, on 961 964 700 or by appointment. Keeping details current matters because allocation procedures rely on the information held in the register.
This article should be reviewed if income limits, registration duration or scoring rules change, or when a specific public housing allocation opens.
