The Camp de Mestalla hosted an intense and exciting night in the 7th day of LALIGA EA SPORTS 2026-27, where Valencia CF faced Real Sociedad in a match marked by ups and downs. The match began with a high pace, in which both teams showed ambition. Although the local team had the initiative in the first minutes, Real Sociedad managed to take the lead in the score after an associative play that ended with a shot from Sucic on the post, taking advantage of an opportunity after a Valencianista exit from the area. The stadium was filled with tension, but the home team did not manage to react immediately to the pressure of the rival.

The second half marked a change of direction. Valencia CF took control of the game, dominating the ball and generating several dangerous chances. In the 58th minute, Aaron Mayol broke the tension with an unstoppable volley goal, which lit up the stadium and gave life to the hope of a comeback. His goal was not the only attempt, as the team continued to press with multiple attacks and corners, although it did not manage to materialize them until the 77th minute, when Carlos Soler, a former player of the club, converted a penalty after a play in the area.

The Valencianist reaction was immediate. In the 84th minute, debutant Aimar Blázquez equalized the match with a shot on the first post after a low cross from Mayol, which caused an explosion of joy among the fans. The stadium believed in the possibility of victory, but Real Sociedad did not give up. In stoppage time, Barrene took advantage of an attack by the visiting team to score the goal that gave victory to the txuri-urdin, closing a match of great intensity and emotions.

Despite Valencia CF’s dominance in the second half, the defensive effectiveness of the opponent and the goal in the last minute decided the result. The local team could not score points in this match, leaving them without a victory in the league. Referee José Luis Munuera warned several players, including De Haas, Gayà, Sucic and Oskarsson, who received a double yellow card. After this result, the team prepares for the next match, which will take place on Sunday, October 11 at 9:00 p.m. at El Sardinero, as part of the 8th round of the competition.
